Japanese American Memorial (Nidoto Nai Yoni) on Bainbridge Island, WA
October 2004

The project involved building a roofed gate and installing it in the town of Winslow on Bainbridge Island; later it will be installed at the memorial site where we hope to have more and larger projects starting next year. In its temporary location, it will serve to raise awareness and funding for the larger project.

The gate is constructed of Port Orford cedar, with cedar shingles and copper ridge covering it. The cedar was donated by Bob Sproul at East Fork Lumber in Oregon.

Most of the work was done at Timbercraft.
