On Friday, in addition to the exhibits by New Hampshire-ites, Romanians, and South Africans, we got to view the politicians on parade, accompanied by their Secret Service escorts, cleverly disguised in suits, ties and sunglasses.

In addition, Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert and his wife stopped by the Guild tent. He's interested in building a post and beam house, and we obliged with information. From left: John Miller, the Speaker, Joel McCarty, Donna Williams, and Bob Smith (kneeling).

Long-time Guild members and supporters are Judy and Scott Northcott of Walpole, NH, who donate the pegs for Guild projects. Here, Scott stands on the covered bridge decking next to the trunnels he made for the project.

Every four years, New Hampshire looms large in the plans of Presidential aspirants. Vice President Al Gore presses the flesh while slurping a strawberry smoothie, while wife, Tipper, does her part.

Leberman

Conducting timber frame demos for Festival visitors are Guild members Reed Leberman of Garland Mill Timberframes, John Miller of Dreaming Creek Timber Frames, Ian Ellison of Ellison Timberframes with one of his sons.
