TTRAG MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Traditional Timberfame Research and Advisory Group (TTRAG) is for those actively pursuing a better understanding of historic timber framed structures and techniques. To become a member, the following criteria must be met:
- A written statement of one's preservation philosophy and/or interest in historic timberframing.
- One of the following:
- A resume of three historical projects and a written explanation of your involvement in them and submission of one completed short survey form with 20 slides or photos of the structure surveyed.
- Submission of four short survey forms with 20 slides or photos of each structure surveyed.
- A combination of (a) and (b), such as one resume of an historical project and three short surveys with photos.
- One of the following:
- A presentation about the surveyed structure using the Historic Wooden Structures Archives Survey Checklist as reference.
- A historical presentation relating to timberframing at a Guild-sponsored conference.
- Publication of an article in Timber Framing related to historical timber framing.
Maintaining Membership
